FIVE TOP 100 WTA PLAYERS HAVE ALREADY REGISTERED TO TAKE PART IN THE 2024 EDITION OF THE BBVA VALENCIA INTERNATIONAL OPEN – BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia

The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia has already launched its Entry List, where many of the players who will take part in the event have signed up to make up the main draw.

There are already five Top 100 players who have confirmed their presence in the capital of the Turia from 8 to 16 June, including some of the top players who are returning to the tournament.

The best ranking so far is held by Victoriya Tomova, number 79 in the world rankings. She is followed by 2022 winner Martina Trevisan (87th), Spain’s Jessica Bouzas (89th), ShiaiShiai Zeng (89th) and Sara Errani (93rd).

They will be joined by participants who know what it is like to be among the top 100 players on the planet and who have decided to bet again for Valencia, such as Maria Timofeeva, Brenda FruhVirtova, Renata Zarazua or Hailey Baptiste.

Likewise, several top-ranked Spaniards will be present on the Sporting Club de Tenis courts, such as Marina Bassols and Nuria Parrizas.

Both the final entries and the confirmed presence of players from the World Top 100 will be known a week before the trophy, with several candidates already interested in making the tournament grow with their tennis.

The BBVA Open Internacional Valencia Tournament is back for another year, thanks to Anabel Medina and Tennium, and will bring the best women’s tennis to the capital of the Turia from 8 to 16 June 2024 at the Sporting Club de Tenis. The event will distribute prizes of up to $125,000 for its participants and consolidates itself as the only WTA tournament in the history of the Valencian Community and one of the few to be held in Spain.

The creator and director of the tournament, together with one of the biggest sports companies in Europe, organiser of events such as the Barcelona Open Banc Sabadell – Conde de Godó Trophy, the Davis Cup Finals, the Hamburg Open (ATP500) in Germany, the Argentina Open (ATP250) in Buenos Aires and the European Open (ATP250) in Belgium, are already working on the final draw.

This new synergy, together with the support of BBVA as main sponsor, certifies the intention already presented in the 2022 and 2023 editions to consolidate as a WTA tournament and to bring together in the capital of the Turia some of the best players on the international circuit.
