The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia has kicked off its week of competition, which will conclude on Sunday, September 20, with the finals of the U14, doubles and singles tournaments.
The qualifying stage began on Sunday the 13th and concludes today, with four matches being played across the Sporting Club de Tenis Centre Court and Court No. 5.
On Centre Court, Ruth Roura faced Madison Sieg, with Sieg claiming victory 7-5, 6-2, while Aran Teixidó and Diletta Cherubini are currently in action.
Meanwhile, on Court No. 5, Nastasja Schunk and Dalila Jakupovic began their match at noon, followed by Joelle Steuer and Dalila Spiteri.
The main draw gets underway after 2:30 p.m. with the match between Kawa and García Cid, followed by Lázaro against Martínez and, not before 6:00 p.m., Bennemann against Bassols.
