From Monday, September 14 to Wednesday, September 16, throughout the day, anyone who donates 5 kilos of non-perishable food at the entrance to the Sporting Club de Tenis will receive a ticket granting access to the full day of tennis. All food collected will be donated entirely to the Valencia Food Bank.
The initiative aims to turn the start of the main draw into a major food drive for vulnerable families across the province, while also bringing professional women’s tennis closer to a wider audience.
The process is simple: just come to the tournament entrance with a bag containing at least 5 kilos of non-perishable food and exchange it at the collection point for a day ticket, valid for all matches taking place that day.
The Food Bank recommends prioritising essential products such as pulses, rice, pasta, canned goods, oil, milk and baby food, although any non-perishable food will be accepted.
The three days of the initiative coincide with the opening rounds of the main draw, featuring players from the world’s Top 100 such as Oksana Selekhmeteva, experienced tour players such as Clara Burel and Rebeka Masarova, as well as a strong Spanish contingent led by Marina Bassols, Andrea Lázaro and Valencia’s own Leyre Romero.
