The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia now has official dates for its 2025 edition, which will take place from June 7 to June 15 at the Sporting Club de Tenis.
Following its previous editions as a WTA 125 tournament, the event has solidified its status as a must-attend competition on both the national and international tennis calendar.
The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia has been the only WTA tournament in the history of the Valencian Community, attracting top players from the circuit and offering high-level sports entertainment for fans.
As in previous editions, the tournament is expected to feature players ranked in the WTA Top 100.
The Sporting Club de Tenis, the event’s venue, will once again become the epicenter of women’s tennis, with an anticipated attendance of over 20,000 spectators throughout the competition.
BBVA continues as the tournament’s main sponsor, reaffirming its commitment to women’s sports and the development of tennis in Spain. Its support has been crucial to the event’s growth and consolidation.
The tournament director, Anabel Medina, expressed her pride “as a Valencian, in seeing our event grow and remain the most important women’s tennis tournament in the Valencian Community.”
“This year, we will continue working to bring the best players in world tennis to compete in our tournament and thrill the Valencian public,” she stated, recalling that top names such as Qinwen Zheng—Australian Open finalist and Olympic gold medalist in Paris—have played in the event.
