THE ELITE PLAYERS WHO TRAIN AT THE COMUNITAT MAYAR SHERIF, SARA SORRIBES AND CHARO ESQUIVA CONFIRM THEIR PARTICIPATION IN THE BBVA INTERNATIONAL OPEN OF VALENCIA – BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia

The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia continues to increase the number of top names taking part in the tournament, with less than two weeks to go until the event gets underway at the Sporting Club de Tenis.

Sara Sorribes, the headliner, will arrive in the capital of the Turia fully recovered from her injury, as she is currently playing Roland Garros in Paris.

Along with her, the 47th player in the world, the 27-year-old Egyptian Mayar Sherif, will become another candidate to fight for the final playoffs. With training base in Elche, she comes from winning in 2022 in Parma, from being individual finalist in Cluj and in doubles in Melbourne and from reaching the quarterfinals at the Mutua Madrid Open.

Charo Esquiva from Alicante, Spanish Junior Champion, winner of the ITF Junior of Valencia and the only Spanish player qualified for Roland Garros Junior in 2023 at only 15 years of age, will complete an invitation to the qualifying round.

All of them will join names such as the Italian Sara Errani (Roland Garros finalist and winner of nine WTA titles) or Nadia Podoroska, also a semifinalist at the French tournament in 2020.

Both the final entries and the confirmed presence of more players from the World Top 50 will be known a week before the trophy, with several candidates already interested in making the tournament grow with their tennis.
