The director of the BBVA Open Internacional Valencia Tournament, Anabel Medina, has been recognized as one of the 100 most influential women in Spanish sport by ‘Top Women in Sports’.
This is the first ranking of Spanish women’s sports, created by the Women’s Sport Institute to highlight Spanish female talent in the world of sport.
It annually recognizes the talent and performance of women in the world of sport, highlighting their growing ability to influence, with various categories that reward the work in federations, organizations, official bodies or companies.
The Valencian has been recognized as one of the 25 best national managers, along with names such as the president of Eibar Amaia Gorostiza, the Alicante and first vice president of COE Isabel Fernandez, the director of the Global Sports Innovation Center of Microsoft Iris Cordoba or the president of the European Golf Tour Marta Figueras-Dotti.
This appointment takes place in the year in which together with Tennium will bring the best women’s tennis to the capital of the Turia, which from June 4 to 12, 2022 will host at the Sporting Club de Tenis the BBVA International Tennis Open of Valencia with prizes of up to
115,000 for its participants, making it the first WTA125 tournament in the history of the Valencian Community and one of the few to be held in Spanish territory.
