THE BBVA OPEN INTERNACIONAL DE VALENCIA INCREASES ITS CAPACITY FOR 2022 AND WILL BE ABLE TO HOLD MORE THAN A THOUSAND PEOPLE ON ITS CENTER COURT – BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia

The BBVA Open Internacional Valencia Tournament, thanks to Anabel Medina and Tennium, will bring the best women’s tennis to the capital of the Turia, which from June 4 to 12, 2022 will host a trophy at the Sporting Club de Tenis with prizes of up to $115,000 for its participants, making it the first WTA125 tournament in the history of the Valencian Community and one of the few to be held in Spain.

This new synergy, together with the support as main sponsor of BBVA, certifies the intention already presented in the 2021 edition to grow in a continuous but sustainable way and to be able to bring together in the capital of the Turia some of the best players of the international circuit.
The jump in category and the improvement of the circumstances of public health from 2021 will also mean a change in the configuration of the courts, which will generate a center court of larger dimensions and capacity.

In fact, a total of 1146 people will be able to attend the Central in case of full capacity, as the restrictions derived from COVID-19 on outdoor sporting events have disappeared.

Likewise, 80 additional fans will have the opportunity to follow the matches played on Court 1, which is expected to bring the total number of fans close to 10,000 throughout the tournament.

Tickets for the event can already be purchased through the website www.openinternacionalvalencia.com.
The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia will once again be supported by public institutions such as the Valencia City Council, Generalitat Valenciana and Diputación de Valencia, together with private entities such as the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, Volvo, Grupo Danone, Dacsa, Glasol, Melt Group, Abenet Soluciones, Sanitas, RFET, ESIC, Vegamar, Dunlop, Climate Trade, Global Omnium and Casa Salud, among others.
