TREVISAN PRESENTS HIS CANDIDACY ON THE DAY MINTEGI SAYS GOODBYE TO THE BBVA VALENCIA INTERNATIONAL OPEN AND THE RAIN EXTENDS THE FINAL DRAW – BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia

The BBVA Open Internacional Valencia Tournament, with the help of Anabel Medina and Tennium, begins its final phase with the last three days of competition starting tomorrow.

The third day (second day of the main draw) has been played with eight singles matches and three doubles matches, with duplicate matches for some of the main players.

Several of the top seeds have confirmed their candidacy to fight for the final trophy, as Martina Trevisan (who defeated in two sets to Seone Mendez), Dalma Galfi (who also won in two sets to Chloe Paquet) while Ane Mintegi ran the adverse fate and fell to Viktoriya Tomova.

For its part, the Valencian representation has continued with the doubles clash of Angela Fita and Oksana Selekhmeteva against Kamilla Bartone and Irina Shymanovich, delayed due to rain.

UPDATE (16/09/2021 at 19:30): The BBVA Valencia International Open has been cancelled due to rain. The three remaining matches to be played (singles Bolsova-Masarova and Rus-Gorgodze and doubles Fita-Selekhmeteva/Bartone-Shymanovic) will be added to the draw tomorrow, Thursday 17 September.
