The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia, which will be held at the Sporting Club de Tenis between September 12 and 19, already knows its final draw.
The event, with a prize of 80,000 dollars, will attract much of the best emerging talent in women’s tennis worldwide, with prominent names (and some of them already consolidated) of the WTA circuit.
In fact, four of the players who will visit the capital of Turia are already among the top 100 in the world: Arantxa Rus, number 70, who arrives after winning two 60,000; Nuria Parrizas, number 94 and winner in Bastad; the Italian Martina Trvisan and the Egyptian Mayar Sherig, number 97, who arrives after disputing the final in Romania.
Alongside them, three other consolidated names appear in the list: Aliona Bol-sova, with six ITF titles in her career, Sara Errani, finalist at Roland Garros in 2012 and the Brazilian, Laura Pigossi, bronze medalist in doubles at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
The tournament directed by Anabel Medina and Tennium has evolved also for great future talents, such as the Wimbledon Junior champion Ane Mintegi and the world number one in this category, Victoria Jiménez.
The BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia has the support of its main sponsor, which makes its growth possible together with the Diputación de Valencia, the Trinidad Alfonso Foundation, Volvo, Dormitienda, Sanitas and Arroz Dacsa.
