THE BBVA OPEN INTERNACIONAL DE VALENCIA WILL HAVE MORE THAN 70% OF FEMALE STAFF AT ITS SEPTEMBER TOURNAMENT – BBVA Open Internacional de Valencia

The BBVA Open Internacional Valencia Tournament, with the help of Anabel Medina, will bring the best women's tennis to the capital of the Turia, which from September 12 to 19, 2021 will host at the Sporting Club de Tenis a trophy with prizes of up to $80,000 for its participants that will become the second most important in Spain in the women’s section.
The event bases its philosophy on values such as integration, with competitions planned for blind players, sustainability, working with its main sponsor to reduce its carbon footprint, and the promotion of female talent.
Regarding the latter, more than 70% of the total number of people working at the trophy or playing in it will be female, making it a national benchmark in terms of equality.
Along with the former tennis player from Torrent and Tennium, many of the usual figures in the world of tennis will have an all-female protagonism.
This will be the case not only of the referee, chair and line judges and the ball boys on the main court, but also of the physiotherapists who will treat the participating players throughout the week.
